Can You Keep a Secret, by Sophie Kinsella. This was a guilty pleasure. I enjoyed it, even though it's a boy-and-girl-meet-cute, boy finds girl, boy loses girl, boy re-finds girl, girl loses boy, boy and girl find each other story. I hardly felt like strangling the protagonist at all, unlike S. Kinsella's Shopaholic book.
I have 8 weeks to read 11 books if I want to read 50 books in 2005.
My car is almost ready to roll over to 100,000 miles. Any day now. Wow. I only bought it 3 years ago, when it had under 25,000 miles on it. Ahh, that lovely commute.
I just this minute found out that a former co-worker is Prince Charles' speechwriter; has been for some years. He's a great guy; smart, nice, creative, very progressive, and very successful in being proactive with that professionally before this. And so, our ED was invited through him and City connections to meet the Prince and Camilla while they were visiting SF. HUH! Also, our DC person said P.C. complimented [former co-worker] 3 times in front of 1,500 people while P.C. was in DC. Heh heh, I wonder if he wrote that into the speech. V. unlikely, of course.
