Jan. 10th, 2005 12:35 pmI'm sad that the weekend's over. Dinner at libkitty's Fri. night, then she came to my house and we stayed up too late watching Lost and Alias and drinking lemon-ginger tea with a fire going. Fun. I'm going to miss her.
I was itching for a movie on Sat. and went to see Million Dollar Baby with sis and mom. It packs an emotional whallop. I don't want to say more because it's the kind of movie where the less you know before you see it, the better. Base your decision to go/not go on the reviews so far. I loved it.
Sun., I slept and slept, arose finally, and gave in to my Gilmore Girls love. I rented 3 DVDs for Season 1 and am catching up on the basic story. I've been watching it for awhile so I know the characters, but it's interesting to see how they changed some characters. Sookie used to be a disastrously dangerous klutz. There was a snotty harp player at the Independence Inn who has since disappeared. Lane talks about "her parents," not just Mrs. Kim. I finally found out where Max fit in. (I'd seen where he comes back and they aren't over it, but that was all.) That was pretty much my day/evening.
I thought that I would wake up all energetic this AM after re-stocking the sleep reserve, but no. It's dark until 7:30 or something like that. Yuck. OTOH, there's alpineglow until nearly 5:30 already. Yay!
