Jan. 6th, 2005 02:42 pmRandom stuff: it's been great having libkitty in town. SO much fun having someone to do stuff with in my home town. It makes me think about moving to the East Bay where almost all my friends live, except, even with all the things that make me cranky, I do like my hometown and home county. It's pretty and hardly any crime. Plus, I'm lazy and moving would be Hard Work. Bleh.
We had a really nice East Bay Buffistas dinner last night at a Turkish restaurant Sparky1 suggested. Good company, good food, good decor. Fun.
Bulbs are blooming, magnolia blossoms have come out, and some of the plum trees are blooming. Early spring is here in Calif. It's time to mow the grass if you have any. 'Course, xeriscape = good, so you shouldn't have much grass unless you're a park.
My sister won her case, was awarded damages, and the awful people packed up and left, leaving behind in the studio broken and soiled things they'd stolen from her house, laundry room, and storage shed, plus lots of new tagged merchanise. (Shoplifters, too? Perhaps.) Now to garnish, stat!
The father of a friend died. His wife died a few months ago. These are the people whose 50th wedding anniversary I went to/took my mother to in Pittsburgh after visting laperkin's Maine house. I'm really glad we went. It sounds like one of the 3 kids has cancer, too, the one who was one of my best friends in high school.
