Lobster & crab, but those are a crustaceans, so, swordfish, line-caught wild Pacific salmon, or ono

Right now, grapefruit
When, if ever, did you start liking olives?
When I moved to Calif.
When, if ever, did you start liking beer?
When I discovered raspberry ale, which I no longer like actually.
When, if ever, did you start liking shellfish?
I’ve always loved it.
What was the best thing your mum/dad/guardian used to make?
Well, they grew all our veggies, so I’d have to say corn just picked, asparagus just cut, tomatoes warm & ripe off the vine, and peaches just picked were the best. The homegrown rhubarb, bush beans, carrots, zucchini, Concord grapes, peppers, lettuce, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries (wild from the hills nearby) were all really good. I'm sure I'm forgetting something, too.
What's the native specialty of your home town?
I have no idea! Italian food, I guess, in my current home town. Growing up? dunno. Venison, I supppose, or black angus or game birds.
What's your comfort food?
crackers and cheese or sourdough and cheese
What's your favorite type of chocolate?
The darker the chocolate, the better

Not.

Grilled ahi tuna with wasabi aoli

Scrambled with cheese & crumbled fakin’ bacon, dusted with dill

Baked sweet potatoes

single large decaf lattes with no foam, only

Decaf Earl Grey, ginger/lemon, or whatever herbal’s available

Hazelnut Loakers, or almond biscotti with chocolate

Weekend: scrambled eggs, tea. Maybe toast, too.
Weekday: a grapefruit, peeled; or Fiber One, if I ever get to the grocery store again in this lifetime
What's your ideal sandwich?
Turkey pastrami Reuben from Max’s Diner, hold the Russian dressing
What's your ideal pizza (topping and base)?
Thin crust with tomato sauce, topped with spinach, broccoli, mushrooms, then ½ topped with feta cheese and the other ½ topped with mozzarella cheese. Or, whatever the Cheese Board or Arizmendi is serving
What's your ideal pie (sweet or savory)?
Mud pie

Caesar topped with grilled fish

I have lots of condiments and nuts stored in there.

Ice

Dehydrated miso, nuts, waffle mix, spices, oil, vinegar

Take out from the community college cafeteria/chef training program a block away from work

Rarely. I haven't been in a couple of weeks.
What's the most you've spent on a single food item?
Tequila. Or probably an expensive cake to take to a dinner party.
What's the most expensive piece of kitchen equipment you own (excluding 'white goods')?
The good knife, or maybe the blender/food processor combo.
What's the last piece of equipment you bought for your kitchen?
Knife sharpener, 5 years ago. Tea towels, a few weeks ago.

4-10 times a month? (assuming cutting Romaine for a salad counts)

Scrambled eggs last weekend

Shellfish, fish, bivalves, lamb, jellyfish, fish eggs, eel, ostrich, venison.
I haven’t eaten a mammal since 1983 or 1984, though.

Last fall – apples, blackberries

I don’t eat at fast food restaurants. Take out? Laney College, Trader Joe’s, Good Earth or Whole Foods. Oh wait, I had an ostrich-burger at Murder Burger in Davis once.
