Thanksgiving 2004

javacatI'm making reservations soon for the Big Island over Thankgiving. My favorite place has availability right now (not surprisingly, I suppose). I'd love to have some company. If you are one of the people who last year was wishing he/she had travel plans over Tgiving, and the Big Island interests you, please e me at lavajavacat at yahoo dot com. It's small number-of-unit-wise, about 50 feet from the ocean, has 1 queen, 1 twin & a fridge in every room + many kitchenette rooms, + grill downstairs + free breakfast daily next to the pool. No tv, radio or phone except pay phone downstairs. It's classed "inexpensive" in the scheme of hotels, yet has a million dollar ocean front. it's a little bit hard to get into. You have to plan ahead.
In case the thought of too much company with me appalls you, I'll be scuba diving much of the time, boat dives, which means leaving around 6:30 AM and getting back anywhere from 2-5 PM. It's great to have company for hiking and snorkeling, for the kayak across Kealakekua Bay, and dining & drinking. The times I've been there before, we were up and out between 6-9 AM, and usually not back until 10 or 11 PM. When I was diving, my friend would drive me to the dive boat (few miles away) and then have the car for the day. There's alot to do and see on the Big Island. I've never tried hanging out by the pool, but, well, it's there.
