Cat and house

On Wed., "Grandma" cat had awful-looking discharge from her vagina and her tail was all matted.  The 1st attempt to catch her was nearly successful, but the feral trap isn't meant for what I'm doing and she scared me into letting go at the last minute. Recently-retired coworker BART'd here yesterday and today to help me, moral support, and with the trap flap. I got G'ma's scruff today, but she yanked herself out of my hands. It was a solid try.  I have to come up with a different plan. She's filthy, her white is grey, she's terribly skinny. She still comes when I call her, but after 3 grabs, she'd be stupid to let me get that close again. Bummer. Auto guy will try for a grab and call me if he gets her. I hope he succeeds. Her butt didn't look bad today. I hope that means she's fighting off whatever infection it is. Auto guy says she's 10, not 3 or 4.

The home supply store near my house is going out of business. I'm sad that their misfortune is my gain, and worry about the staff finding jobs, but pleased to be getting wonderful bargains to fix stuff at my house. Hot baths again, someday!
