Good weekend! Things done: 

• Finished loading 288 cubic foot dirt box with crappy soil & rocks. Oh my aching back. Yay epsom salts baths!
• Clipped seed heads from most of the Queen Anne's Lace, cut down most stalks
• Nice chatty conversation w/ neighbor, who agreed to pay her share of retaining wall/fence. 
• Found great day worker. Bonus: he got up on the roof and cleaned out the gutters.
• Sun. AM bike ride to Fairfax w/ L.  Sale at "The Beach House" where I got a Wedgewood ashtray for $4. I don't smoke, but blue Wedgewood! Pretty! L got a wonderful wooden take-apart beach chair and rode to J's house in San Anselmo w/ it over her shoulder.
• Called a bunch of people on the phone. I am normally phone-avoidant, but am trying to break the habit. Nice talks.
• Took food to elderly neighbor who had gall bladder surgery. Met another neighbor there whom I'd not met before; nice! 
• Mom gave me her wedding silver (plate), plus sterling odds & ends.
• Long talk with neighbor J as he drove to Berkeley

I so enjoyed sitting on the steps in the back yard clipping seed heads. The sun was perfect, and OMG, the birds. We have so  many birds in our neighborhood! I put seed on the top board of the fence in front for starters, but they'd be here anyway. I love love love the sound.
