My friend with ovarian cancer *was* scheduled for surgery, but her surgeon broke his leg and can't stand on it for more than 10 minutes at a time for the next 3 weeks. So she started chemo Monday,and they'll reevaluate in 3 weeks and either operate or do more chemo. I'm visualizing good PacMan chemo cells running around chomping the bad cancer cells while she marinates the next few weeks. Join me, please!
Java got into a horrendous cat fight outside my side door yesterday morning, so bad I took time off midday to go home to make sure he was okay, since he vanished after it. He was fine. I papered the neighborhood asking about the other cat, and got a response that it was fine and had made its way home okay.
I'm off to see my FNP since two of the deep scratches on my leg from the fight (I was used as a climbing pole) are infected. I wish I could just go buy some Augmentin, but whatever. I'm glad, I want to go home early. It's LOVELY being in my hometown during the work week. Today I envy everyone who works near where they work. Perhaps I need some vacation time off, hmm.
Excellent on books on tape/CD: Little Heathens. I'm really enjoying the recipe and home remedy section. Speaking of which, I could fix the infection by having someone cut it open dosing with peroxide, but I can't reach it well enough to do it myself. 11 people on a farm vs. 1 person at home.
