Melissa Rosenberg, writer and co-executive producer on the Showtime's Dexter, talks about Season 3. Spoilery for Season 2.
Not spoilery: The show is projected to have a lifespan of 5 years. And, "We've been meeting for a month now for the third season and it's been like, 'What the hell are we going to do now?'" she says. "But I think we've come up with something that's going to be hopefully as good. I can't even hope to surpass it, but I can hope to do as well. It's going to be tough. But it's a challenge." She does not go on to specifics.

Huh. Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are dating, apparently. I thought he was married. Guess he's divorced now.
http://www.veidt.com/?p=40 Sherry has some spoilery details about Season 3, also referring back to http://www.veidt.com/?p=16 I' m not familiar with with either but perhaps I shall investigate them.
http://www.orionbooks.co.uk/HB-35201/Dexter-In-The-Dark.htm All spoilery.
Book review. (This 3rd book in the series goes off into a world pretty separate from the TV series; I think the TV series is stronger/more interesting, and that the resolution of book 3 was "you've got to be kidding" eyeroll-worthy.) Showtime has a book vs. series comparison chart that's interesting: http://dexterwiki.sho.com/page/Dexter%3A+The+Books+vs.+The+Series
Back to Orion books, they also have an interview with Jeff Lindsay and Q&A:
http://www.orionbooks.co.uk/interview.aspx?ID=11360 - interview. Non-spoilery interesting tidbit: "He draws on his acting background to help. "I write Dexter as though I was acting it.""
http://www.orionbooks.co.uk/QandA.aspx?id=11360&catID=0 - Q&A Only the last paragraph is spoilery (cut away at the words, "Have you started your next book? Can you tell us a little bit about it?"); the rest is about him, his likes, habits, history (black belt in karate! folk singer on coffee house circuit!) etc.
