Jun. 3rd, 2005 04:14 pmRandom stuff: really good chocolate torte + mint chocolate chip ice cream is a yummy Friday treat at work.
Brick Road (book on tape) turned out to have its hooks into me after all. I need to do some driving this weekend so I can finish it!
Red is good.
Pepcid seems to be working for the sick kitty. He's eating again; not much, but enough to stop him from losing more weight.
Adequate sleep is an amazing cure for feeling cruddy. I got 9 hours of sleep last night for the first time in *ages* and it was enough to pull a really lousy week into feeling like a pretty good week.
My mother, who would really like it if I was a Christian like her, although I'm not, handed me a newsletter from an Episcopal church that I'd recommended to her. Its cover stpry was about good Christians everywhere need to oppose the current movement by Dominionist Christians of advancing their cause by force if necessary, and remember the true messages of peace and brotherhood of Christ and the Bible. I love that this movement has been named: the Dominionists. It makes me very happy that local churches are speaking out against the heavy-handed political extremes of these Christians. First, because I identify myself as a Buddhist and would like to believe that my fellow citizens see the point in allowing me to have a belief system that doesn't hew to Christianity, and second, because I think it's something that will start here in Calif. and spread throughout the country. Yippee!
Crazy busy at work does make the day whip by fast. Back to the grind.
