You know how certain things happen that were really terrifying or awful or weird at the time, and the image becomes imprinted so that later, you sometimes replay it in the private screening room of your mind? Lately, I've been reliving the horror of the first time seeing those awful movable sausage-casing toilet seat protectors in the bathrooms at Chicago's O'Hare airport; then when I think about it, it SO cracks me up.

ION, just paid the April property taxes, SIGH. I turned to bankrate.com to see how long it's going to take the pay the heck offa this mortgage, anyway. My rate's lower with the refinance of a couple of years ago, so now I can afford to pay extra each month. BR.com's calculators tell me I can it off in 19 years instead of another 28, but, UGH, 19 more years? I want to retire NOW. Waahhhhh!!. Ain't gonna happen any time soon, I'm afraid.

My car odometer is up to 89,000. Yikes! And, I've been talking to my BROTHER, which is astonishing news. I've also been slacking at work, and, er, since I really would like to leave early today? I'd better go do some. Stacks! I still have stacks of work everywhere!
