The movie The Station Agent was really good. For some reason, I keep thinking about it today. I like movies that take time *in the movie* to let people sit and be with each other.
I like Roy's more than Chez Panisse for an expensive dinner. Also, Roy's is cheaper. Chez Panisse is hecka noisy, too, though it is a gorgeous Craftsman house. One of these years, I'll have to dine downstairs. I wonder if they let you cancel if they serve mammals that night when you only eat seafood, birds, and vegetables. I'll have to ask.
The 100th episode of Gilmore Girls pissed me off. IMHO Lorelei and Luke wouldn't behave like your standard post-Moonlighting tv drama god-forbid-they-should-be-a-couple couple. They were always honest with each other, except about admitting to themselves how much they liked the other person. They finally figured that out. It rang false when Lorelei lied to Luke the second time, after he said, it seems like there's something you're not telling me. It totally seemed false that she'd ignore that Luke DID come over in response to her taped message. I hate that. In protest, I have demoted GG from my #1 Tivo spot and put Veronica Mars there instead, you know, like that will do anything.
I dunno. Maybe there are no tv writers left in the world who know how to write couples/relationships. The OC is screwing around with Sandy/Kristen. WHAT are they thinking? But I have hopes for The Medium and her husband.
I'm loving House. What a crank Hugh Laurie is!
It's great not having a roommate, except, I really do need to find a housesitter soon. I'll get on it tonight.
