Halon went off in BART's central control room and shut down their entire system. I was in the City Center station when the shutdown was announced, so I decided to walk back to the office. The route takes me through Chinatown. I always enjoy the names of some businesses. Delicious Food Company. Trust Automotive. Honest Plumbing Supplies. Sincere Hardware. The adjectives are so robust and declarative. It tickles the caveat emptor part of me.

Now that I'm back at the office, I see a haz mat team truck, 2 fire trucks, 3 camera crews, a handful of reporters, and alot of evacuated staff outside the main BART building. I'm glad I'm not depending on BART to get around about now.
