1. I went to a wedding on Sunday. The ceremony was beautiful, in a lovely setting, between two amazing people obviously in love and well suited to each other. I was honored to be present.
2. I went to a funeral today, and with a large congregation, remembered the humor and goodness of our friend who died last week. It was also the first African-American church I'd attended. The singing? WOW!

4. Suelac, I found some excellent 3/4 sleeves v-neck shirts at an Eddie Bauer outlet. No lycra, but otherwise what you were describing.
5. The San Juan Islands are *fabulous.*
6. Travel is magic. I hope I never lose that sense of magic, of the miracle of being in one place so specific and concrete and lovely in its own way, and then, whoosh, many hours later, being in a different place. I am so fortunate to have been born at a time when this kind of travel is possible, the physical travel and the freedom as a woman to travel on my own.
