I believe that today is the first day of our Bay Area summer weather pattern. It was sunny and in the mid-70's in Marin this AM with clear blue skies. As soon as I hit the bridge, I could see that a blanket of fog was socked in over the East Bay and San Francisco, and indeed, it's about 15 degrees cooler over here. It should burn off around noon. It makes it a little bit hard to dress for work, except I'm pretty used to always carrying an extra layer. Yay cotton sweaters. I am glad for this natural air conditioning cycle when we hit our real summer in Sept. and Oct. I salute you, deep water Pacific upwelling that creates the marine layer.

I'm continuing my industrial parking lot songbird madness. I bought the birds a glazed flowerpot saucer that I am going to keep clean and fill with fresh water each workday, e.g., a ground-based birdbath/watering hole. I didn't hear the traffic light-dwelling bird singing this AM. I hope he/she is alright.
