Slowly coming into the electronic age

I have a Tivo now. I have a hard-wired phone line behind the tv so it can talk to the Tivo. It should be working by the time I get home. I have a DVD/5-disk CD player. (I have never, ever seen a DVD before. Perhaps I will rent one this weekend! [Consuela showed me 2 Farscape eps, but I'm not counting them]) Noise Design helped me save a bunch of money on cables. I have a new light-vent-heater in the bathroom with 15% more power than the old one. Luckily enough, it was the exact footprint of the old one, so I didn't need all my prep for plaster dust everywhere. Yay!

I met with the City Planner, the owner of the house behind me, and his architect at a hearing about the project being built next to my house, and favorite neighbor Sarah went with me. The city has new ordinances that Are A Good Thing re solar, privacy, and hillside lots. Yay! Once again, I put in a plug for the adoption of a Dark Sky Ordinance by the city.

I have a brand new suit. It's periwinkle silk. It's the first suit I've ever owned, and it's actually comformable.

I got to work at 3 PM and I'm going to leave on time for a change tonight, so will actually be home this evening. A first this week!
