(no subject)

On Sunday, my new (& former) roommate paid her first month's rent in cash in an envelope. It wasn't where I'd left it when I got home really late last night. AKKK! She was still asleep when I left this AM for work. So, ~8 hours, a search of the house, a drive to retrieve & search two bags of paper recycling later, I discover that she moved it to a "safer" place where I obviously didn't see it at all.

Wouldn't you have left a note? I would.

The annual Perseid Meteor Shower camping trip is coming together. There are 8 of us now. Not bad! We'll have 2 kayaks and a kiwi, and maybe a dog. It'll be fun to paddle around. SW's taking a mask, snorkel & fins. I'd not have thought of that - it's a lake! what is there to see? a stump? a trout? mud? but what the heck. Maybe someone will do some distance swimming with me!

It looks like the rafting will be Sept. 13-14. I'm up to 14 people so far. I'll confirm it with LS tonight.
