heading out for the weekend

I've placed my listing for a roommate on Craigslist again. Few people called from the last 2 weekends, which is unusual. Before, I'd get lots of calls, and people saying my place was the nicest they'd seen all weekend. I looked at the competition and there are fabulous shares out there. One friend thinks because of the bad economy, lots of people have moved away from the Bay Area. All I can say is, if you're thinking of moving to the Bay Area, now's a good time to find shared housing.

One person emailed me this week and sounded great, but there was no way to work out the cat issues. We'd have had a bloodbath on our hands. I'm hopeful, though. I didn't meet her in person, but in print, she had just the kind of voice I'm looking for and she said the same thing. It's been that way with my fabulous roommates so I'll wait it out. If I have to, I could always let the persistent 22 yr. old college student with the boyfriend up the street move in Sept. 1.

I finally went for a hike after work last night with Consuela. At long last! The last time I was hiking was at the F2F. Shame on me. The puppy is huge, same size as her dog. The puppy tripped over his own feet! He's beautiful - the line of his bones and muscles is perfect.

I'm doing fun stuff this weekend but also working on the house. It's nice to have the oomph to do it. It isn't fun until I get into it, and I resist it so much, it takes alot to get me going. Guess I should be off to get going. Happy 4th.
