Hooray for the temporary reprieve on building a database, which A. I've never done, and B. I've got stacks of work to do whot would go into the DB. C. Not that I'm doing it at the moment!

My 18.75 year old sibling cats are on every-other-day sub-cute fluids + famotidine, 1.5 for one cat, 1.0 for the other. I'm going through a bag of Ringer's a week, Yikes! I started a new box of needles recently, and was mentally grousing about waste in product engineering because this needle manufacturer puts caps on both ends, instead of only on the pointy end. But now that Shoo's getting fluid as frequently as Ben, I like telling at a glance: cap's off the line end, next. I could (and did) have a system instead of plopping down a couple of needles on my bathroom counter, but it is useful. I expect it's really handy in a vet's office.

Truth be told, I'm having fun filling the injection needle, injecting the Ringers' bag, doing the IV set up, hanging the bag, flushing my injection needle with alcohol, and creating an in-sink heat exchanger to warm up fluid in the line after first use of a bag (because famotidine has to be refridgerated). I have few squeems; needles aren't one. The cats hate the stick itself, but they're really good for me, always. It clearly makes them feel better, so Yay!

I like feeling competent with this new skill set. Petsitting with meds skills is something I could do for extra money in retirement (or sooner), too.

TV: OMG, I think I hurt my back watching so much Tivo last weekend. My desire to watch the Oscars and associated hoopla in Best mode via Tivo meant I had to clear out content to make room. 20-30 eps of TDS or Colbert, anyone? I love them both, OMG, Tonight's Word, so good!  I love JS more. I think he's the only modern comic who approaches Jack Benny for timing. He's willing to pause. And wait. Let you think. No need to be snotty. Impatient. Hyperactive. You'll get there.  And laugh with me.  I love it ! In this fast-cut world of ours, it's refreshing as hell and brilliant of him. I'm sure it's harder to do than it looks.

Speaking of fast cuts, I hope I don't get too stabby about the Academy Award broadcast. Note to the director: I'm here to see the nominees and the winners. I do NOT want to see Jack Nicholson (or anyone else) watching the winner of the best costume design giving his/her speech, I want to see the winner giving his/her speech. Every. Single. Moment of it. Get a grip, will you?

I'm a little worried about Grey's A., after seeing flist gasps today. I'm capturing it tonight. In re GA, I'm SO sick of Izzy's blithering babble. Ugh. I've started FFing through her scenes. Note to Shondra Rimes and Katherine Heigl: it is not remotely as endearing as you think it is and it is what will drive me from your show if you don't knock it off.

'm 4 eps behind in VMars, and a bunch of other things. I've captured all eps of Friday NL & Jericho so far, and not watched a single one yet. Someday.

Lost. There are too many missteps to do more than shrug and say, okay, I'll still go along for the ride. It cracked me up when Hurley said, "That dude can see the future"? Dude, did you really intend to remind of this fun new GOOD show, that knows how to tell a story, called Heroes?

I've been up to my eyeballs in an estate matter regarding my cousin, staying late to use the computer for drafting documents and creating speadsheets to analyze data. That was the fun part, if very tiring. The awful part, because it involves all us remaining cousins, and I'm spearheading the thing, is dealing with my sister C- the Bitch. OMG, she is the most awful person in the world. The stuff she does, and says, is so unbelievable, well  to most people who aren't her sibling.  If I never have to deal with her again, that would be AWESOME.  She's so evil. I don't know how her kids turned out to be such decent young men. They must be the only 2 people on earth that she doesn't do this to.  She did her thing at my brother, too;  it was like he joined the family club, at last.

We signed a settlement agreement TODAY.  Woo Hoo!  Finally.  Next: detailed accounting against my spreadsheets, and more battles with C, I'm sure.  Next time, if there is a next time? I must remember that it's worth it to shoulder the legal bills by myself , to not have to deal with C.
