Book read: The Hunt Ball, by Rita Mae Brown. More evocative and descriptive writing about the goings on in the fictional Jefferson Hunt Club, including sentient animals and their commentary on the humans. As usual, I enjoyed the information about the land, horses, hounds, details about hunting, and an update on the recurring characters. There was some sort of plot or another to hang it all upon and it was fine.
Book count: 41. I'm listening to The Kite Runner in the car (#42). I'm still going to try for 50 in 2005. I have some slim books in my library in the to-be-read stack. I might be able to do it.
