Jun. 26th, 2008 06:43 pmIt's fiscal year end/beginning and the annual craziness is in full swing. I expect I'll be working late tomorrow or coming in on the weekend.
I rode my bike after work on Tues. from home to F'fax, took about an hour for the 6 miles, which, I guess that's my speed. The streets were deserted! It was great! It might have been dinner time, or maybe everyone but me and the dozen other cyclists I passed were paying attention to the smoke warnings. It is terribly smoky outside.
Sis has to move this weekend and the list of sister-stuff is too long to get into. Oh sigh. On the plus side, it's pushed me into getting the survey done. We're close to being recorded, I think. Gotta run before car lock up time.
Oh! I agitated and got a contractor to clean up a bunch of debris that had been dumped near work. They covered over all but 1 of "my" birds' dirt-bath spots - that's what got me to look, and when I did, I discovered it was 1-3 inches deep and a block long between about a dozen 70'ft. tall trees, which the debris would have killed when the trees couldn't get water through it, this winter. I went ballistic in the face of the responsible parties when I found out whodunnit. They cleaned it up yesterday. YAY. I'm such a b*tch.
