Rest in Peace Arnold
Feb. 27th, 2008 04:55 pmMy mother's dear friend (and flirtation partner) Arnold died yesterday, suddenly and apparently painlessly without much warning (a day or two of not feeling well, but not really sick either, then boom). Arnold was in his early 90's. He was a bridge Gold Life Master (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masterpoints). He and my mother were bridge partners who very much enjoyed wicked games of bridge several times a week with the other few bridge-playing members of their community. He was active and vital, and loved movies, going to first-run matinees 2 or 3 times a week. He's probably being buried today by his daughter. I know my mother will miss him very, very much. Rest in Peace, Arnold.
