I haven't been reading much , haven't been tracking what I have been reading, and books on tape or CD take a lot longer than actually reading, so I haven't posted about books in ages, but here are a few before I forget them:
- The Yiddish Policeman's Union was un-listenable. I love Peter Reigert (Local Hero!), but he is the wrong reader. Every sentence was, "blah BLAH BLAH blah blah blah blah." Sorry, does not work in a car. I took it back before I'd finished Chapter 1.
- Animal, Vegetable, Miracle was enjoyable, although I ran out of time and haven't sought renewal. It got me going to my local farmer's market again, for which I am grateful. Winter in California? Wonderfully abundant.
- David Rakoff's Don't Get Too Comfortable has me hooting with laughter as I noodle down the freeway.
