Food and drink
Aug. 10th, 2006 04:01 pmI stumbled upon this while trying to find an email address for a north county agency, and thought I'd pass it along. Two columnists for North Bay Biz cover wines, wineries, and food for Sonoma and Napa, with the Napa guy talking about WA state wineries as well in one article. Here's the main link; Winewise = Sonoma wine, and This Side of the Hill = Napa. There's all sorts of good info, including which winery is welcoming dogs. I'm jazzed enough about the description of one new restaurant in Napa to want to get up there to check it out:

Roessler serves many of his own wines (he makes 12 different Pinot Noirs) along with a full but reasonable list. “I want to create a model in the Buckeye Roadhouse tradition. I want a neighborhood restaurant where both locals and visitors can enjoy the place, have a great bar and still bring style to Napa.” All menu items at Cuvée, except the filet mignon, are priced less than $20. [The Buckeye Roadhouse being in my neck of the woods.]Then, a friend sent the link below - Meathenge! I don't eat mammals, only birds and seafood, and I don't like to cook, so much of this doesn't really do more than get my mouth salivating with the 2 decade-old memory of what bacon tastes like, but it seems like a great site for folks whot like to grill and eat meat.
