It's hard being inside the last couple of days because it's SO incredibly beautiful. I'm formally revising my usual advice that Sept. is the best time of year to be in Nor. Cal. and changing it to early spring. The skies are blue, everywhere, not just at the horizon or up in the sky. The grass is green, white bells, blue hyacinth, pink and white plum trees, magnolias are out already. Daffodils, buckeye trees, iris have bulging buds. The air is clean and smells good, birds are singing and rustling about everywhere. It's 68-70 degrees, nice to wear a long sleeved shirt but you don't need more than that during the day, and in the evening, it's light until 5:30-5:45ish. I get out of my windowless cubicle for about 20 minutes in the middle of the day to walk to the community college to buy lunch. ::sigh:: not enough time.

I'm on a mini-roll at work, which is great. I'm waiting to hear back on my perf. eval., but it went pretty well and I should be getting another raise. Best of all, I made myself tackle some hated projects and got them done & off my desk. I have a few more to do, but this is good forward motion.

I can't find the zippered pouch I use for a wallet, though. It had/has cash, and my ATM & medical card in it and that's it, so not as bad as losing a checkbook or my license. It bugs me. I just had it! I think there's a tiny black hole in my car. I lost my favorite umbrella and Visa card in the vicinity of my car the last two months, too. Grrr.
