Dec. 21st, 2004 03:46 pmPolk County at the Berk Rep was a rollicking good time, a bluesy musical by Zora Neale Hurston. I hurried home after the play and stayed up until 2:30 AM making lasagnes for the solstice potluck tonight. Afterweard, I had to drop off something on a neighbor's doorstep before 6 AM, and did so, then walked the cat around the long block. It's so quiet around 3 AM, and last night a big cloud settled near the ground so all was soft and misty with tree tops nearly disappearing. It was lovely and peaceful and with no distractions like other cats, humans, or cars, Java stuck with me the way he did when he was a a young'en, when we'd walk for blocks and blocks. Fun. I could have stayed up until dawn but had to go to work this AM.
