Watched this week's Veronica Mars (love my Tivo!). What is UP with Lisa Rinna's lips? OMG her upper lip is so freaky looking. What IS that? Collagen?

I just found out I'm getting my own stationery at work. WTF? That is ten times of unnecessary, but, well, okay.

Teri Gross rocks. The last two interviewees have been wonderfully interesting and informative about how the religious right operates so effectively. My jaw dropped open yesterday when whatshisname was asserting that gays descrecrate the eucharist in churches. TG handled him SO well.

Office party today so I'm off to decorate and get to go home early after the party. Whee!

edit: Just wrote this in LJ user ratphooey comments, and thought I'd put it here too.

runnning out the door, but really, the last two Fresh Air with Teri Gross shows have been amazing with the info from the right. One is "The King of Direct Mail," who is one of the progenitors of the Moral Majority. The other the guy who worked for Richard Mellon Scaife and the ::dang, memfault... a newsletter/magazine [the Progressive? can't be...]:: and who uncovered "paula jones/cop-gate" and later became left wing.

Someone else could say it better, but it's so good to hear what they have to say and hear TG handle them. It's eye-opening, the point of view of King of Direct Mail. It's insightful, hearing the writer guy talk about writing his books and gradually leaving the fold.

I've had this thing about how no one in the media is asking the right questions or really BEING a journalist except Jon Stewart and fake news and maybe Bill Moyers, so it's especially gratifying to hear TG being a good journalist. We've got to understand these people, I think, and it's the moderate Republicans who are going to be the ones to pull them back, I think.
