I now own 3 sheets of the new coral reef stamp. It's gorgeous! http://tinyurl.com/36vk8

The New Yorker mag usually piles up in one of my big unread-magazine stacks, until I have time to scan for Eamon Grennan poems, and then I donate them to the library or work free stack.

Then I read the Nov. cartoon issue cover to cover while in the jury waiting room yesterday, and am finishing the article on Billy Connolly. What a horrendous childhood! It's amazing that he survived any of it. I love the New Yorker, just, I think you have to have tons of money = a wife and cleaning lady and cook and no job and never on the internet to have to time to read it regularly. Weekly! What are they thinking? How do people do it?

or write about it on the open travel guide

This counts all the states I've driven through, and mostly camped in as well. Plane layovers aren't counted. Illinois is the only one that would added by that anyway. Course, it was a long layover, and I did do first aid on an injured lady, and see Sue in the airport. I have more memories of it than I do of Mississippi.

13 to go! Oooops! 14 - Rhode Island, too.
After my night of productivity on Mon., and all my erranding yesterday, I don't want to do anything today, like work. I want to read and eat. There's a community college a few blocks from where I work, and students in the food services program produce the food in the cafeteria. It's fabulous. I had an chopped apple & anise salad ($1.50), and a real crab salad wrap in a whole wheat tortilla ($2.50).

However, I will soon need to take charge of a project that is my boss' that he doesn't know what to do with. Which means, get the other stuff done now. Harumpph. Wives and secretaries cretainly are useful. I need one of each.

Har, he's been getting calls from people whom I know pretty well, so I've just had my 3rd 5-minute conversation-on-his-calls of the day!
