Nephew

So my nephew, Erik, was on the Ryan Seacrest show yesterday. He's touring in John Mayer's band.

Dear DOG what an incredibly annoying show. I was glad I watched it on tape so I could zip through most of it on fast forward.

Fun to see Erik, though. I'm continually impressed with John Mayer, too. From what I gather from Erik, JM really is that sane, centered & self possessed, and Erik has alot of respect for his musicianship. They're all a bunch of straight & serious musicians, actually. Erik's a jazz and classical conservatory-trained trumpeter. I'm so proud of him and pleased that he gets to have this experience!
