good weekend
Jul. 20th, 2003 12:53 pmSaturday: Went to sleep ~4 AM Friday night, and was awakened at 8 AM by workman C, who I'd called earlier in the week. We arranged to meet at 2 PM and I went back to sleep. Woke up in time, and the two of us planted everything I bought last weekend + mulched them, and I transplanted a bunch of stuff. I had a 7-8 PM massage, and came home & watched tapes (the Biography story on Buffy).
Also, my detective work paid off! I SUCCEEDED in locating the electrical contractor who didn't finish the work I'd paid him, who was evicted from his rental next to my house, whose phone #s were all disconnected. How? internet, babee, plus a good conversation with his ex-GF, who happened to be listed on his contractor's license. He came by on Sat. and will be back later in the week to finish the jobs. Best of all, no arguments about it. It was really nice. I'm glad, because he's a fun guy to hang out with and have a beer on the deck when he's done working.
Sunday: Awoke early; swept deck; left for a hike. C arrived at 9 and the deck work is beginning. I went on a 2 hr. hike in Marin, and am out at my sister's for an awesome brunch of salmon & eggs & bagels & mimosas. Just, I am so very, very fatigued. But Mom is reading Cryptonomican and loving it! Go Mom! It's been a good weekend, with lots of doing things right, including exercise and a pretty good menu/eating right.
I am pooped though. Gardening is more physically draining that I realized. Something amiss with my wrist. My back kind of hurts, too. Still! So much done!
Monday plans: Finalize the refi tomorrow & Fed Ex it off, yay.
