I worked until 11 PM last night and am closing in on getting everything offa my desk so I might leave a tad early, or at least on time... assuming I tear myself away from the Internets. Then, 4-day weekend!! Yay!
Java was pawing at the weird, partly inaccessible closet in the morning, which necessitated piling a gazillion pairs of shoes on my bed so I could check to see if there was a critter in there, dead, alive, or somewhere in between. It's a mystery: there were only dust bunnies. I'm relieved. I could do without discovering live skinks around the house like last summer.
ION, I got home so late, I was up at 3AM watching Colbert when my neighbor called the fire dept. over to put out a stack of newspapers some kids set on fire underneath the power pole. This kind of excitement, we do not need. No sirens, but those trucks breath loudly.
