The de novo second hearing about the oak tree was yesterday. I don't have a strong sense of how it went one way or the other. I'm guessing it'll be about 2 weeks before we get the written decision. Meanwhile, the land survey is nearly done. It appears that the 35 foot wide, 6 1/2 foot high parking structure that the neighbor built 3 feet away from my mature oak tree, thereby killing it, didn't just violate city regulations by having no set-back from the property line, its northern-most part is probably ON my property. Oh boy, this is going to get interesting.
