Life TV; Life, mine
I re-watched the last ep of Life 3 times, and the next to last ep twice over the weekend, and love this show even more.
Something I noticed, then double checked against both eps (the only ones I have left on my Tivo, alas), and really enjoy is how expressive the actors faces are. I first noticed it in the scene where Dani and Charlie are sitting on steps outside the bank, then Charlie gets a call from Jack. Dani squints, raises her eyebrows, furrows her brow, glances aside at him.. as she usually does, but I really noticed it. Her face MOVES. It's a sad commentary that it's so unusual for someone's face to be this normal and flexible instead of Botox-immovable, right? Charlie's is just as expressive in both eps, except that in most of the last ep, he's relatively stony-faced, which is in perfect character synch with what's going on. If either of these actors get Botox and we begin to fail to be able to see where they furrow their brows, I will be very, very sad.

This weekend was
kind of a bust, except for scoring big on the best sale that Title 9 has ever had. Nothing was more than $15, most things were $5 or $10, and the selection was amazing. I got a pair of shoes, zipneck fleeces in soft soft soft pink & blue & pale green, stainless steel vacuum Thermoses & commuter mugs ($5 each), a long sleeve shirt, down booties ($5!), and some swiss army-type little knife & flashlight sets. And 2 pair of their good socks for $5. My neighbor brought her dog over for me to walk while she went on her bike ride, and we ended up jumping in the car and going to Berkeley instead. She bought 2 full bags of clothes for $200. Amazing.
I didn't get much else done over the weekend, which makes me feel crappy. At least the headache I had this morning from a long bath + glass of champagne + reading 10 months of COMM printouts has finally gone away. I need a home computer and a few months at home.
