Earthquake calibration

According to the USGS, that was just a 3.4 quake on the Hayward fault, epicenter 2 miles ESE of Berkeley. My co-workers think it was under our building.

3.4  2007/02/23 15:46:15 37.865N 122.241W 11.5    3 km ( 2 mi) ESE of Berkeley, CA

I called it as a 3.6 or a 3.7, and I've been wrong consistently here at the new spot in the building.  I need to subtract .3 or .4 from my first guess, and will eventually achieve a more accurate Richter scale guess, given enough tremors to practice.
